2,500 Squatters Found in the “Lewinsky Tower”
(PP)- Wednesday the abandoned William Jefferson Clinton Federal Building in South Palookaville, also known as the “Lewinsky Tower,” was surprisingly discovered to be occupied by 2,500 squatters.
The unfinished tower stands in a blighted area of Palookaville’s south side slums and it’s the city’s third tallest skyscraper. It was half-completed when the construction was halted in 1998 after the gigolo President was impeached, and the Federal government stopped funding for the project.
Palookaville mayor Terry Malloy was not available for comment regarding what the city would do about the squatters, but several police officers monitoring the situation thought that the “homeless” population had things under control.
“They have built their own ecosystem – sanitation, electricity, retail, recreation centers and building security… almost everything they need,” said a Palookaville cop. “Nobody in government even knew they existed, and it looks like they all are better off for that reason alone.”
